MICROO has collaborated with Nature’s Magic of Costa Rica to bring some life changing soul-grounding mushroom EXPERIENCES to my audience, and that includes (for now - more to come!) an offering of apprenticeship as well as two offerings for retreats - 1 day or 4 day. I’ve always known my calling was to help people heal and elevate their lives through the power of microdosing and am so grateful to have helped so many people and developed such a deep relationship with the mushrooms thus far in my life. But there is always room for more and deep down I knew there was space in MICROO to offer MORE! Which is where these experiences come into play. These experiences are open to those who are looking to reconnect, heal, learn, be cared for, be part of a community, live with nature, and redefine who they are. Costa rica Medicine Apprenticeship 

Would you love to get hands on experience learning about mushrooms and what it takes to host medicine ceremonies? Ready to change your life, create a new career, or hoping to add a new skill to your repertoire? Join us for a month in our home and retreat center in the mountains of Caribbean Costa Rica learning everything there is to know about mushrooms, product making, and medicine ceremonies. We are unique because we have access to the best medicine in the world and a unique approach to our ceremonies and offerings! We believe in keeping the spirit of the mushrooms intact by only using medicine that grows from the earth here in the mountains close to home. Regardless of what month you come you’ll learn every step of the process from medicine cultivation, to product making, to hosting successful and life-changing ceremonies for others, to community building, and more!

What will I learn?

  • The magic of mushroom cultivation, with lessons on growing conditions and how to harvest properly

  • How to prepare the medicine for product making

  • How to make mushroom chocolate and tinctures

  • How to cultivate local herbs and fruits and create natural medicines and tonics (there's more than just mushrooms!)

  • How to reconnect with, care for, and give back to the land in union with community

  • How to prepare for hosting a success mushroom ceremony

  • How to guide guests through the motions of a successful healing mushroom ceremony

  • How to host ceremony guests upon their arrival, through ceremony, all the way to departure

  • How to manage the ins and outs of mushroom ceremony from cleansing, to ritual, to holding space for clients when they need it most.

  • How to facilitate community engagement and "free therapy" in a mushroom retreat setting

This is an excellent opportunity to become a team member of a small mushroom ceremony space and product making business. There will be lots of hands on learning and plenty of practice here in the kitchen, in the center, and on the land.

Live onsite for a full immersive experience. We are a 4 hectare piece of land located in the mountains but not too far away from civilization (<30 minute drive to downtown and local beaches). Being a part of the farm will give you an unforgettable experience.

What we look for in an apprentice

We take only 2 apprentices each month: our expectations are quite high! You must be absolutely motivated by and connected to the mushrooms and their medicine, you must also be a human of service who is here to hold space for others and facilitate their growth when they ask for it. You will be here to learn everything we have to share and teach and hopefully learn as much as you can!

You will be a full member of our small team, living and eating with us. To get as much as possible out of your experience we will work together 5 days a week.

This apprenticeship is an organised program, the cost of which is $1200 for the month. This includes all training, experience, accommodation and 3 healthy, vegan and organic, where possible, meals a day.
